Eco Life Ambassadors (Eco-LAP) is an Erasmus+ project designed to empower adults to become active promoters of sustainable living and environmental responsibility in their local communities. The project responds to growing environmental challenges by strengthening eco-literacy, green skills, and active citizenship through adult education and non-formal learning approaches.
Eco-LAP brings together partners from different European countries to exchange good practices, develop innovative learning tools, and create a strong network of “Eco Life Ambassadors.” These ambassadors are adults who gain the knowledge, motivation, and practical skills needed to adopt environmentally friendly lifestyles and to inspire others to do the same. The project focuses on everyday sustainability topics such as climate awareness, responsible consumption, waste reduction, biodiversity protection, and community-based environmental action.
A key objective of Eco-LAP is inclusion. The project actively engages adults with fewer opportunities, ensuring that environmental education is accessible, practical, and relevant to diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds. Learning activities are designed to be interactive, learner-centered, and applicable to real life, combining digital tools with hands-on community practices.
Throughout the project, partners collaborate to develop training materials, awareness campaigns, and local activities that encourage long-term behavioral change. By linking environmental education with active citizenship and European cooperation, Eco-LAP contributes to the Erasmus+ priorities of the Green Agenda, digital transformation, and social inclusion.
Ultimately, Eco Life Ambassadors aims to create a lasting impact by supporting adults not only to learn about sustainability, but also to act as role models and change-makers—helping to build more resilient, environmentally conscious, and sustainable communities across Europe.
